The 96 Ward chairmen of the All Progressives Congress (APC) across Delta North Senatorial District, on Tuesday, 10th June 2025, unanimously endorsed Senator Ned Munir Nwoko as sole candidate, for a second term in the upcoming 2027 Delta North Senatorial District election.
The Distinguished senator representing Delta North Senatorial District, had welcomed the ward chairmen when they paid a solidarity visit with him in his country home, MountNed, Dumuje Ugboko.
Obviously, in an elated mood for having the grassroot leaders with him, the Distinguished senator confirmed presence of all the 96 APC ward chairmen, expressed confidence in the current party leadership, showed praise on the leaders for being loyal to the party, despite being opposition for several years without rewards and assured them of lending his support with securing another term for them.
In response, the ward chairmen through Comrade Oseji Afam cited, Distinguished Senator's overwhelming performance, accessibility, and commitment to grassroots development, recalled the actual reason for passing vote of confidence, reassuring their total allegiance to the Senator.
*“We assure you that in our wards, when you call us in the rainy season we will answer, when you call us in the dry season we will answer. You call us in the night we will come, you call us in the midnight, we will come. You call us in the day, we will come. Wherever you go, we are there. We thank you for all you do, our hope is in you,”* the comrade ward chairman retorted.
In his response, Senator Ned Nwoko expressed deep appreciation for the gesture, describing it as a powerful validation of the work being done and the bond shared with the people at the grassroots. He welcomed the resolve of the party ward chairmen and emphasized the importance of unity among party members.
According to Distinguished Senator, both old and new members of the APC must find common ground to work together for the good of the party and the future of Anioma.
Also present at the meeting was the Delta North APC Senatorial Chairman, Ogbueshi Eluka Adiuzue, whom commended the gathering, stressed the need for continuous engagement between party leaders, their elected representatives to ensure strategic alliance and expectations.
Meanwhile, at other separate meeting held with the network of Ndokwa clergymen, National Association Of Anioma Students, Anioma Nationality Youth Movement were amongst other support groups that paid allegiance visit to the senator.
